Dollywood in Pigeon Forge Tennessee is considered by many as one of the best theme parks in the world. The park has a total of 9 roller coasters including the world famous Lightning Rod and puts on lots of shows and seasonal events each year. I've made the trip out to Dollywood over 20 times in the last 5 years and have learned a lot about the park and how to get the most out of my day when I visit. My goal was to put a video together that would give you the best tips and tricks to make your visit to Dollywood the best it can be. I'll go over the best order for getting all the roller coasters, parking, tickets, when to arrive at the park, the best places in the park to get food, the best attractions and even the world famous cinnamon bread from the Grist Mill. This first-of-its-kind Vekoma Family Thrill Coaster is based off the company's Family Boomerang (🤍 which is extremely compact compared to this 2+ minute - 3990 feet (1.2km) long ride. Like its predecessor, this one also offers three LIM (Linear Induction Motor) launches and a super smooth ride. There's also a mere 39-inch (99cm) height requirement, which means the entire family can ride together! Mystery Mine was the first Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter in the USA when it opened in 2007 and many coaster enthusiasts still consider it to be the best themed thanks to its many special effects and its haunted storyline. While RVing in Tennessee, we decided we needed a day of roller coaster fun! We are big lovers of theme parks and have been taking our kids to Disney and Universal for years! But we have never been to Dollywood, until now. Reading reviews, Dollywood is rated as the best theme park in the USA... we were skeptical as we have experienced great theming at others, but we have open minds. Going during the summer was hot but it was not as busy as we expected which was really nice! We were able to ride so much in one day!!!! And there are way more roller coasters than we expected! It was a great day! And I could see after being there why it has such a high rating.
