APDL is a scripting language that is used to drive the MAPDL program and it supports all the actions that MAPDL can perform. It has some rules related to syntax and usage and it is important to understand these details. In this video lesson, we will present these basics of language usage and demonstrate them via a workshop model. We will also introduce defining and using scalar parameters, which is one of the hallmarks of APDL scripting. ANSYS Static Structural Analysis Tutorial Plate with Hole under tensile load was analyzed in ANSYS Mechanical APDL (MAPDL) using 2D Plane Stress element QUAD182 and quarter symmetry in ANSYS. Mapped Mesh (Structured Mesh) with quad element procedure was demonstrated to give high quality element mesh in ANSYS.
